Santa Barbara and the Hurricanes

In November 2020, two Category 4 hurricanes (Eta and Iota) hit Honduras consecutively. Though it affected Central America as a whole, Honduras was the most affected: it had the most deaths, flooding, and mud slides. Infrastructures, crops, and homes were destroyed causing countless of families to become homeless.

Vigilio, Santa Barbara’s head of chamber of commerce reached out to us for help. As a result, we gave out 1,500 pounds of rice to the families in Santa Barbara. With the hurricanes and the ongoing pandemic, the villagers were delighted with the helping hand.
